The Bedrock of the Choir. The gentlemen, who number some 18, are there week in week out and many have been members for more years than they like to admit to. Clearly, they would not do it if they did not enjoy it.

Many of them are firm friends and have musical interests in addition to the choir. Six of the have formed a close harmony group, The Surplus Cassocks, who sing for their own enjoyment, the pleasure they give to audiences, and to raise money for charity.

The men teach the boys so much, and the boys absorb it without really realising it. They really are the best role models a boy could wish for.
